In these circle dance gatherings, no dance experience is needed (just basic mobility and coordination), as the dances are simple to moderately easy, and the dance steps repetitive. This allows the dance to dance us!
Honoring Deep Winter and the Coming of Spring: A Sacred Circle Dance Gathering
March 7, 2026, 2:00-4:00pm, Well for the Journey, 120 W. Seminary Avenue, Lutherville-Timonium, MD 21093
In this circle dance gathering, we will honor the gifts of winter and the coming of spring. We are a sacred part of spring, witnesses to her unfolding beauty and to our own unfolding. There is the promise of renewal and growth in spring, a time to bring to fruition the seeds and visions we have been quietly cultivating in the winter months. We will move through dances that help us cultivate our creativity and sense of purpose, and dances that will help to ground us in these turbulent times. We will dance to honor the transition from winter to spring, the dance between stillness, restlessness and action. Rooting into the ground as we rise up, we will dance to cultivate the mindfulness needed to move forward into spring with greater peace, clarity and joy.
Well for the Journey is a lovely, more intimate setting, with a maximum of 9 participants for this gathering. Click HERE to learn more and register!

Walking the Heroine’s Journey in Edge Times: A Women’s Retreat at Wellspring
May 29-31, 2026
Wellspring Conference Center, Germantown, MD
Women, with all the planet, are experiencing the wildness of coming to an edge, a time when grief, despair, and possibility dance in the same holy darkness.
Now the power of the Sacred Feminine and our gifts as women are being called forth, the moment when we rise to remember that “once upon a time we sang with the tongues of seals and flew with the wings of swans, that we forged our own paths through the dark forest while creating a community of its many inhabitants ... women might indeed save not only ourselves, but the world.” (Sharon Blackie).
Rooted in the Sacred Feminine, we rise with the wisdom of the Earth Mother and with an agency beyond false hope and fixes.
The Sacred Feminine and Sacred Mystery reside among the more than human: tree and forest, hill and stream, fox and turtle, hawk and bramble.
What might be your thread to follow with others in the unwinding and widening circles of worlds to come?
Join us to: Wander the sacred land of Dayspring listening for the wisdom of the wild inhabitants of woods, stream, and fields; listen to ancient stories rising out of the heart of the Sacred Feminine; gather for council and ceremony woven with the heartbeats of our drums and the power of dancing in sacred circles.

Through dance, we will remind ourselves of the importance of nurturing the heart and cultivating love for ourselves and the world around us. We will dance to honor summer’s abundance and cultivate an expansive presence to the beauty and wonder that surrounds us. Honoring Late Summer, Preparing for Fall: A Sacred Circle Dance Gathering for Women
Date TBD, Well for the Journey, 120 W. Seminary Avenue, Lutherville-Timonium, MD 21093
September 19, 2026, 2:00-4:00pm, College Park Arts Exchange, 4711 Knox Rd, College Park, MD 20740
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Earth is the element associated with the season known as late summer. As we move from the more yang/outward energy of summer toward the more yin/inward energy of fall, the Earth provides us with the nourishment and grounding we need to help with this seasonal transition. In this circle dance gathering, we will dance to honor Earth’s support and abundance, to savor it. As the fall equinox nears, we’ll explore the dance between being and doing in an often busy season, and acknowledge the need to let go of that which no longer serves us to create space for the new.
Well for the Journey is a lovely, more intimate setting, with a maximum of 9 participants for this gathering.

Honoring the Earth Through the Ancient Languages of Drumming and Dance
October 11, 2026, 10am-4pm, Sparks, MD
Katy Gaughan, drum circle facilitator extraordinaire, and I are thrilled to be offering this inspiring event once again with Well for the Journey, a day of retreat to intentionally honor the Earth with drumming and dance.
The flow of our time together will be a gentle exchange of music and motion followed by quiet reflection, as we connect to the rhythms of the Earth, ourselves, and each other. Drumming is an ancient technology now understood in new ways. The heartbeat lives in all of us and invites us to entrain to something bigger than ourselves. Sacred circle dances are an ancient practice of honoring and embodying the cycles of the seasons, creating community with all life through movement.
These ancient practices were the primary languages of human expression, born out of the Earth. They are needed now in these challenging times and help us honor this amazing planet we call home. Drum and dance with us to ground into the energy of the Earth, as we allow the ancestors and Mother Earth to guide us with sacred understanding.
Come join us at the beautiful Hudson Barn on Delight Farm in Sparks, MD. No drumming or dance experience or skills is needed. Drums will be provided, or you are welcome to bring your own.
Registration coming soon!

December 19, 2026, 2:00-4:00pm, College Park Arts Exchange, 4711 Knox Rd, College Park, MD 20740
Come and dance to honor the Winter Solstice! The solstice is a sacred day of the calendar year, marking the longest night and the return of the light and all that it promises. A moment of spiritual stillness in an often swirling world. It is a time when the veil between worlds are thin, and the power and holy nature of life is palpable. As we dance, we will reflect on the coming gifts of Winter, the season of rest and rejuvenation, stillness and deep listening. We will dance to cultivate the sacred energies of peace and joy.
